I´m putting the virtual pieces together for my first quilt. Each color is a different fabric. Basic squares combined in freehand. Should the seam allowance be 1/4 inch? I´ll need to browse some quilting blogs to figure out details like that. Wish me luck.

oh so pretty. have you started on it? will you be using the colors in the design?
It's a work in progress, the colors are reds, gold, oranges and browns and the fabrics have a Moroccan feel to it. It's been a pain because I'm just learning to sew and chose fabrics that are not very forgiving.
oh im sorry you chose those fabrics for your first project, but think what an expert you will be whens its done!!
